WISH LESS galleryでは、個性的なファッションと表情が特徴のぬいぐるみチャームを作るAKANE ISHIGAによる5回目の新作展を開催いたします。
AKANE ISHIGAは「連れて歩ける動物園」をテーマに、素材と表情にこだわったぬいぐるみチャームを制作。高級天然素材を用い、洋服や小物など細部まで全て手作りしています。熱狂的なファンも多く、毎回発表する度に瞬時に完売してしまうほど、入手困難なチャームとしても知られています。

今回のコンセプトは「Standard／普通」です。
「普通って、実はなんだか居心地のよいもの。普通の基準は個々それぞれだけど、心地よい物や服、環境に囲まれて、小さな動物たちは今日も楽しく暮らしています。」と作家はぬいぐるみの気持ちを代弁します。
愛する音楽やファッションに身を包んだ身長約10㎝のキュートな動物たちを目撃しにぜひいらしてください。

昔から好きで描いている「二本足で立つ洋服を着た動物」を立体にしてみたいと思った事からぬいぐるみチャームの製作を始める。2014年よりWISH LESS galleryにて毎年個展を開催。本展が5回目の個展となる。ウェブショップ chovon SHOP での販売のほか、イベントへの参加もしている。

WISH LESS gallery is pleased to announce AKANE ISHIGA’s 5th solo exhibition ‘Tiny Zoo -Standard-’.
AKANE ISHIGA’s stuffed toy charms are 100% handmade by the artist including their clothing, small bags and accessories using high quality organic materials with the theme of a portable Tiny Zoo.

Akane’s concept for this show is ‘Standard’.
Being ‘standard’ and belonging somewhere is truly relaxing. My animal charms live happily together with their favourite clothes and possessions in a good environment even though their own individual standards are different.

In this exhibition, she will be showing a selection of new pieces with the theme of music and fashion, also her own personal icons. Please come and find your favourite 10cm high stylishly dressed free-standing toy !

PROFILE
AKANE ISHIGA creates three dimensional ‘free standing clothed toys’ from her own drawings.
Since 2014 she exhibits at WISH LESS gallery every year and this is her 5th solo exhibition.
Her work has been represented by chovon SHOP and at other events in Japan.
