WISH LESS was founded in December 2012 in Tabata, Kita-ku—part of Tokyo’s northern area—by graphic designer and ceramic artist Yoko Nagai and British painter Rob Kidney. Since its opening, the gallery has presented distinctive, cross-genre curatorial projects, continually offering new perspectives where painting, photography, sculpture, video, music, and performance intersect.
As an artist-run gallery, WISH LESS creates a welcoming space enriched with diverse ideas grounded in its own unique aesthetic, aiming to be a place of exchange where anyone can freely experience and engage with art.
WISH LESSは、グラフィックデザイナー／陶芸作家の永井洋子と英国人ペインターのロブ・キドニーによって、東京のノースエリア・北区田端にて2012年12月設立。開廊以来、テイストを横断した個性的なキュレーションを行い、絵画・写真・立体・映像・音楽・パフォーマンスなど多種多様のアートが交差する新しい価値観を常に発信しております。
アーティストが運営するギャラリーとして、独自の美学に基づく多角的なアイディアソースを散りばめた心地良い空間を演出し、誰もが自由にアートを実感できる交流の場を目指します。
