レトロなテディベアやネコの絵が人気の英国人イラストレーター、ロブ・キドニーの新作展を池ノ上のヴィンテージショップ STRANGER にて開催いたします。本展のために描き下ろした新作20点ほどを展示・販売いたします。また、バッジやステッカーなどのグッズ類の販売もいたします。

ロブ・キドニー／Rob Kidney
1969年英国ブライトン出身。音楽やアパレル、雑誌などで活躍するアーティスト／イラストレーター。
鮮やかな色と力強い手描きのラインでインパクトのあるイラストを多数手掛ける。
Basement Jaxx(XL-Recordings), Ozone Rocks, Universal Music,BMG Japan,祥伝社, Victor/Speedstar Records, avex music creative Inc. など様々な企業とコラボし、最近ではX-girlやCHUBBYGANGなどの子供服ブランドのデザインで人気。クラブやファッションショーなど各種イベントでのライブペイントも好評。2012年、東京・田端にアートギャラリーWISH LESS をオープンさせ、展示会のキュレーションを担う。2014年9月にはインテリアブランドunicoで家具へのライブペイントが話題を呼んだ。

Born in England. He studied illustration at Brighton University. Now based in Tokyo, with a wide global client base mainly in music and fashion. He has developed a reputation for his live painting and customizing abilities. His work is both raw and vibrant, with a strong hand-drawn line and an acid color palette. It always delivers a strong visual punch. During the last 5 years he has focussed on drawing teddy bears and other stuffed toys mainly using a 10B pencil, these drawings focus on the balance between simplicity and innocence, with a touch of mischievousness.
