WISH LESS galleryでは、台湾出身のアーティスト・李漢強（リ・カンキョウ）の個展を開催致します。日本や台湾、韓国などで活躍する李漢強は、よく見かけるスーパーマーケットのチラシや週刊誌の表紙を忠実に再現し、見過ごされがちな日本文化の特有性を写し出す話題の作家です。
また世界的人気ブランド Supreme 2022年春夏コレクションでは、李漢強のアートワークが起用されるなど、ファッション界においても高く評価されています。
本展では、巷で話題のNFTブームに感化されたペインティング作品を発表いたします。会場ではDVDレンタルコーナーを設けるなどのパフォーマンスも予定。画面を埋め尽くすほどの圧倒的な情報量、そして皮肉とユーモアをたっぷり効かせた独自のNFTアートにぜひご注目ください。

みなさんどうもおひさしぶりです。台湾人の LEE です。
コロナの 2 年間、みなさんは何をしてましたか? 私はといえば、ほとんどがおうち時間で、「イカゲーム」観たり、「5時に夢中!」観たり、「マトリックス」借りたり、「ドクターX」観たり、「ヒルナンデス!」観たり、「アべンジャーズ」借りたり、そんな生活でした。
ところで、こんなことを友達から聞いたんだ、“NFT はすごいよ。手軽にめちゃくちゃ儲かるし、 早くやらないと流行りに乗り遅れちゃうぞ”って。
家の庭に石油が湧いてきたみたいに景気のいい話!なにその NFT って!
楽しそうだしやるなら 早くやろう!わたしの NFT!!
プロフィール
李漢強（リ・カンキョウ）
アーティスト。台湾出身。東京造形大学大学院(造形専攻)修了。 幼い頃から見ていた TV 番組で、日本のエンターテインメントに魅 力を感じ、2007 年来日。スーパーのチラシ、週刊誌、ポイントカ ードなど消費社会の現象に着目した創作で、第10回グラフィック 「1_WALL」グランプリ受賞。

WISH LESS gallery is thrilled to announce the solo exhibition of Taiwanese artist LEE KAN KYO who has been active in Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea. LEE faithfully reproduces supermarkets flyers and the covers of weekly magazines, and reflects the peculiarities of Japanese culture that are often overlooked.
Recently LEE released a collection of clothes in collaboration with the fashion brand Supreme for their 2022 Spring / Summer collection.
In this exhibition, LEE will present painting works inspired by the popular NFT boom. Also there will be a performance element, such as setting up a DVD rental corner at the gallery . Please pay close attention to the overwhelming amount of information in his finished pieces and his unique take on the NFT phenomenon laced with plenty of irony and humor.
STATEMENT
Hi everyone! It’s been a long time! This is LEE from Taiwan.
What have you been doing during this pandemic? I’ve spent most of my time at home watching “Goji ni muchu! (evening tabloid show)”, “Hirunandesu!(afternoon gossip show)” and renting DVDs of “The Matrix”, “Doctor X”.”Avengers” etc.
By the way, I heard from a friend that, “NFT is amazing. It’s easy to make a lot of money, and if you don’t do it early, you’ll miss the trend.”
It’s a booming story like oil gushing up from the yard of my house! What’s NFT? Sounds fun! I’ve gotta make my NFT !!
PROFILE
LEE KAN KYO is a Taiwanese graphic artist living and working in Tokyo. He obtained his M.A. Degree in Design from Tokyo Zokei University. Since childhood he has been fascinated by the glamour of Japanese culture through Japanese variety shows on TV, which eventually brought him to Japan in 2007. His art works are mainly inspired by modern consumption in society and observations of general life, such as the Supermarket Flyer Series, Weekly Magazine Series, and the ongoing self-portrait series, Juice box Selfie (where he takes a selfie after drinking a box of juice and uploads online; each year he selects the best ones and produce a deck of playing cards), which he began six years ago.
In 2014, he created an art work that targeted the increasing number of members in Japanese idol groups to illustrate the mass production and consumerism of modern society. The work won him the Grand Prize of 1_Wall Graphic Arts in Japan.
