WISH LESS galleryでは、写実画家・濱口健によるPOSCAを用いたドローイング作品の展示「ポスカ、その愛の不透明度 2022」を開催いたします。
濱口らしいマニアックなセレクトで構成された本作品は、廃材にポスカであらゆる人物・ロゴ・キャラクター・背景までを描きまくり、直感で選んだ異素材を切り貼りして一枚の作品に仕上げています。
ありえない組み合わせ同士にハマる人続出の異色のポップアートを心行くまでご堪能ください。
さらにWISH LESSのオーナーでありアーティストの英国人ロブ・キドニーとのコラボ作品も発表いたします。
作家の言葉
三菱鉛筆の製品のポスターカラーマーカー「POSCA」の素晴らしさを、頼まれてもいないのに勝手に讃える目的で始めたドローイング・シリーズ「Salute to the Uni-POSCA!」。その6年ぶりの新作展を昨年11月に大阪で開催、そしてこの度、また更に新作を追加して東京でも開催となりました。
「どうですか！まるでシルクスクリーンプリントと見紛うほどの、この力強い不透明インクの発色は！これで太字や細字の１本の定価が220円！（太字の定価は275円で極太は550円）」と、熱弁を振るうかのようにドバドバ制作した作品群をまた壁一面にギッシリと無駄に展示します。
このシリーズの最初の展示は、かつて上野にあった「galeria de muerte (ガレリア デ ムエルテ)」(2014年)でした。あれから8年経過しての新作は進歩したのか、しないのか？
PROFILE
濱口健
1997年多摩美術大学の日本画卒。イラストレーションやりながら美術作家としても、、という、立ち位置のよく分からないエリアにてなんとか生き延びようと活動中の絵描き。
近年の展覧会は、2020年・個展「PICK YOUR GOD 2020」WISH LESS gallery、2020年・個展「東京八景 2020」un petit GARAGE、2021年・個展「多分、テレビのはらわた？」WISH LESS gallery。その他の個展、グループ展、諸々。

WISH LESS gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of drawing works created with POSCA marker pens by realist painter Ken Hamaguchi titled “POSCA, with my opaque love”.
The work is composed of Hamaguchi’s maniacal selection of people, logos, characters and backgrounds drawn on waste paper and flyers with POSCA marker pens. The drawings are then selected and cut and pasted intuitively to create the finished piece of work.
Please enjoy this pop art composed of unique combinations and juxtapositions to your heart’s content.
Also included in the exhibition will be a limited number of pieces in collaboration with British artist Rob Kidney.
STATEMENT
The drawing series “Salute to the Uni-POSCA!” was started with the purpose of praising the wonderfulness of the poster color marker “POSCA” produced by Mitsubishi Pencil.
The latest “POSCA” pieces were shown in Osaka last November for the first time in 6 years. That work has been supplemented with a plethora of new pieces for this exhibition.
Let’s celebrate the amazing color of this versatile opaque ink that can be mistaken for silk-screen printing!
The price of the fine tip pen is 220 yen! The bold is 275 yen and the thick is 550 yen.
These pens are absolutely fantastic!
The walls of the gallery will be plastered with a multitude of drawings, resulting in intoxicating visual overload!
The first exhibition in this series was at “galeria de muerte” in Tokyo (2014).

After graduating from Tama Art University’s Japanese traditional painting course in 1997 he started working as an illustrator and painter.
