WISH LESS galleryでは、個性的なぬいぐるみチャームで人気の高いAKANE ISHIGAの新作展を開催いたします。
ウェブショップで販売開始すると瞬く間に売れてしまう程、現在入手困難で有名なAKANE ISHIGAのぬいぐるみチャーム。真似したくなるほど実にファッショナブルでパンクな装いの動物達は、AKANE ISHIGAが好む音楽的バックグラウンドに由来します。ただ可愛いだけではなく、ところどころに見え隠れするブラックユーモアが彼女のぬいぐるみの魅力でしょう。また、ぬいぐるみは全て天然素材を用いたハンドメイド製であり、上質で温かみのある質感を肌で感じられるはずです。
本展では、人気イラストレーター、ロブ・キドニーとコラボした限定アイテムも数量限定でご紹介いたします。高いクオリティとユニークなアイディア満載の楽しい動物園「Tiny Zoo」へぜひ足をお運び下さい。
STATEMENT
「連れて歩ける動物園」をテーマに、素材と表情にこだわったぬいぐるみチャームをつくっています。身長約10cmの動物たちは二本足で立ち、お気に入りの洋服やアクセサリーを身につけています。今回の個展では自分自身が好きな音楽やファッションといった要素のほかに、ちょっとシュールだったりシニカルだったりと、個性強めな動物たちも揃います。
人間と同じように、性格も好きなものもそれぞれ違う動物たちが暮らす、小さな小さな動物園。じっくり、ゆっくりと見ていただけたら嬉しいです。
PROFILE
AKANE ISHIGA
雑誌や広告を中心にフリーランスのイラストレーターとして活動の傍ら、昔から好きで描いている「二本足で立つ洋服を着た動物」を立体にしてみたいと思った事からぬいぐるみチャームの製作を始める。2014年 初個展「Tiny Zoo」（WISH LESS gallery／東京） ウェブショップ （chovon SHOP）での販売のほか、イベントへの参加もしている。

WISH LESS gallery is delighted to announce AKANE ISHIGA’s solo exhibition ‘Tiny Zoo -Annex-’
Akane’s cute and fashionable stuffed toy charms are inspired by her taste in fashion and her love of punk and rock music.
Her black sense of humor is injected into these adorable toys that have gleaned a group of followers and collectors who are fascinated by them, their popularity has lead to them often selling out as soon as they appear on her online store.
They are all 100% handmade by the artist with organic materials that give them a distinctive warm and charming quality.
In this exhibition, she will also be showing a selection of pieces in collaboration with British illustrator Rob Kidney.

STATEMENT
I have produced these unique stuffed toy charms with high quality organic materials in the theme of a portable Tiny Zoo.
They are about 10cm high and are free-standing, wearing fancy clothes and with accessories. Some are quite fussy or cynical in their fashion sense which mirrors by my own personality.
Please come and get a closer look at my selection of toys with human-like personalities and tastes living in a Tiny Zoo.

AKANE ISHIGA
Working mainly as a freelance illustrator in advertising and magazines, she started to reproduce her own drawings in three dimensions as ‘free standing clothed toys ’.
First solo show ‘Tiny Zoo’ at WISH LESS in 2014. Her work has been represented by chovon SHOP and at other events in Japan.
