WISH LESS galleryでは、ぬいぐるみ作家・AKANE ISHIGAの個展「Tiny Zoo -Tiny Market-」を開催いたします。弊廊では今回で9回目の展覧会となります。
AKANE ISHIGAは「連れて歩ける動物園」をテーマに、ひとつひとつ手作業にこだわったオリジナルのぬいぐるみチャームを制作しています。作品には上質な天然素材を使用し、既製の生地にない色合いは自ら染め上げ、極小のパーツ類も一から手作りするなど、細部に至るまで妥協のないものづくりを徹底しています。
今回のテーマは「小さなお店」。通常のぬいぐるみチャームよりもさらに小さく作られた動物たちが店頭に並び、まるで架空のお店を訪れたかのような空間を演出します。愛らしい表情と驚くほど緻密な手仕事が詰まったAKANE ISHIGAの新作群に、ぜひご期待ください。

昔から好きで描いている「二本足で立つ洋服を着た動物」を立体にしたいと思いたち、ぬいぐるみ制作を独学で開始。「連れて歩ける動物園」をテーマとした、表情と素材にこだわったぬいぐるみチャームを制作している。

WISH LESS gallery is delighted to announce “Tiny Zoo -Tiny Market-,” a solo exhibition by plush artist AKANE ISHIGA. This is the gallery’s ninth exhibition.
Under the theme of “a zoo you can take with you,” AKANE ISHIGA creates original plush charms, each one made entirely by hand. Using high-quality natural materials, she dyes her own fabrics when she can’t find the right shade, and even crafts the tiniest parts from scratch, never compromising on any detail.
This time, the theme is “a little shop.” Animals made even smaller than her usual plush charms will line the shelves, creating a space that feels like a visit to an imaginary store. We hope you will look forward to AKANE ISHIGA’s new works, filled with endearing expressions and astonishingly intricate craftsmanship.

Having long loved drawing animals who stand on two legs and wear clothes, she wanted to bring them into three dimensions and began teaching herself plush-making. Under the theme of “a zoo you can take with you,” she creates plush charms with a focus on expressions and materials.
