WISH LESS galleryでは、一点一点手作業で作られるオリジナルぬいぐるみチャームで人気を博すAKANE ISHIGAの個展を開催いたします。弊廊では8回目の新作展です。
AKANE ISHIGAは「連れて歩ける動物園」をテーマに、細部までこだわり抜いたハイクオリティのぬいぐるみチャームを制作しています。作品には上質な天然素材を用い、全てハンドメイドで仕上げています。既成の生地にないものは自身で染め上げ、さらに極小のパーツ類も自ら手がけるなど、小さいながらに高い技術とあどけない表情が光る貴重な一点ものばかりです。
本展では「モンスター」をテーマに、AKANE ISHIGAの遊び心が詰まったぬいぐるみ達を一堂に集め、会場にて披露いたします。

AKANE ISHIGA
「二本足で立つ洋服を着た動物」を立体にしてみたいと思った事からぬいぐるみチャームの製作を始める。2014年よりWISH LESS galleryにて毎年個展を開催。ウェブショップ chovon SHOP での販売のほか、イベントへの参加もしている。2021年、自身のキャラクターのミニチュアフィギュア「Tiny Zoo」が発売され爆発的ヒットとなった。

WISH LESS gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition by AKANE ISHIGA, who is known for her original plush charms, each of which is made by hand. This is her eighth exhibition of new work at our space.
AKANE ISHIGA creates high quality plush charms with a meticulous attention to detail under the theme of ‘a zoo you can walk around with’. The pieces are made from high-quality natural materials and are all handmade. She dyes the charms herself if she can’t find them in ready-made fabrics, and also creates the miniscule parts herself, making them all precious one-off pieces executed with a high level of skill.
The theme of this exhibition is ‘Monster’ and AKANE ISHIGA’s playful and innocent plush toys will be gathered together and presented at the exhibition venue.
[ PROFILE ]
AKANE ISHIGA started making plush charms after wanting to create a three-dimensional version of ‘a clothed animal standing on two legs’ Since 2014, she has held an annual solo exhibition at WISH LESS gallery. Her ‘Tiny Zoo’ characters were released as miniature capsule toys and became a massive hit.
